Campbell Wins Bass Fishing League Event on the Barren River

WHAT : William Campbell of Middlesboro, Ky., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday, June 19, 2010 to win $5,766 in the FLW Bass Fishing League Mountain Division tournament on the Barren River. Campbell was using a Lucky Craft crankbait on a Carolina Rig in 6-20 feet of water around points in the main lake to sack his limit.

 6th: Rusty Smith, Somerset, Ky., five bass, 17-10, $690

 7th: Gary Morrison, Scottsville, Ky., five bass, 16-8, $628

 8th: Bill Smith, Jr., Somerset, Ky., five bass, 15-7, $565

 9th: Jim Dean, Huntington, W. Va., five bass, 15-5, $470

 WHAT : Lucas Devere of Berea, Ky., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday, June 19, 2010 to win $1,883 in the FLW BFL Mountain Co-angler Division on Barren River. Devere was fishing points in the main lake using a Cumberland Pro Porcaster, 3/8 ounce to bag his limit.

NOTES: The next and last BFL Mountain Division tournament in 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 18-19, at the Barren River in Scottsville, Ky. After the fifth Mountain Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
