Hartman Wins Bass Fishing Tournament on Lake Champlain

WHAT:  Boater Jamie Hartman of Newport, N.Y., caught a five-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 3 ounces June 18 to win $6,514 in the Bass Fishing League Northeast Division bass tournament on Lake Champlain.

WHAT:  Robert Parmer Jr. of Linden, Pa., caught a five-bass limit weighing 15 pounds, 13 ounces June 18 to win $1,757 in the Co-angler Division.

NOTES: The next BFL Northeast Division tournament is scheduled for July 9 on Lake Cayuga in Seneca Falls, N.Y. After the fifth Northeast Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 13-15 Regional Championship on Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston, Va. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
