Neal Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament on Lake Guntersville

Boater Michael Neal of Dayton, Tenn., won  the May 14 Bass Fishing League Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville to earn $6,472. Brad Rutherford of Lavonia,  Ga., won the co-angler title in the Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville May 14 to earn $2,236.

 

WHAT:              Boater Michael Neal of Dayton, Tenn., caught a five-bass limit weighing 24 pounds, 12 ounces to win $4,472 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup.

NOTES:            The next BFL Choo Choo Division tournament is scheduled for Sept. 24-25 on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Ala. After the fifth Choo Choo Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
