Inman Wins Bass Fishing League Event on Kerr Lake

WHAT : Boater Mark Inman of Greensboro, N.C., caught 10-bass weighing 24 pounds, 7 ounces Aug. 28-29, 2010 to win $6,604 in the Bass Fishing League Piedmont Division tournament on Kerr Lake. Inman was using spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and spoons to catch his limit. He was fishing mid lake and said that the topwater bite was good early and then he switched to spoons to get the afternoon bite.

 10th: Eddie Daniels, Garner, N.C., six bass, 15-6, $537

WHAT : Brent Boney of Emporia, Va., caught 10-bass weighing 21 pounds, 1 ounce Aug. 28-29 to win $2,302 in the Co-angler Division. Boney was using topwater walking baits around bushes to catch his limit.

NOTES: The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings have now qualified for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship on the Potomac River in Marbury, Md. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
