Boater Jason Nixon of Wetumpka, Ala., caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 29 pounds, 1 ounce to win the Oct. 1-2 BFL Bama Division bass fishing tournament on Lake Mitchell to earn $4,882. Heath Daniel of Dadeville, Ala., was the highest-placing co-angler in the Oct. 1-2 BFL Bama Division event, earning $2,441. Nixon was fishing mid lake using a shaky-head and Sweet Beaver Frog.
