Boater Dick Shaffer of Rockford, Ohio, caught a two-day total of nine bass weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce to win the Sept. 24-25 BFL Hoosier Division bass fishing tournament on the Ohio River to earn $7,004. Justin Clift of Indianapolis, Ind., was the highest-placing co-angler in the Sept. 24-25 BFL Hoosier Division event, earning $2,502. Shaffer fished rock and wood patterns on the main river and used a spinnerbait and topwater bait.
