Atwell Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament on Potomac River

Boater Chris Atwell of Mechanicsville, Va., won the April 30 Bass Fishing League Shenandoah Division tournament on the Potomac River to earn $4,009. Andy Weicht of Warfordsburg, Pa., was the highest-placing co-angler at the April 30 BFL Shenandoah Division event.

 

WHAT:              Boater Chris Atwell of Mechanicsville, Va., caught a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces April 30 to win $4,009 in the BFL Shenandoah Division tournament on the Potomac River.

NOTES:            The next BFL Shenandoah Division tournament is scheduled for June 4 on Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C. After the fifth Shenandoah Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
