MINNEAPOLIS (Feb. 6, 2006) - Evinrude and Stren announced Monday their partnership to offer Stren Series co-anglers a lucrative contingency award for the 2006 tournament season. Known as the "Ultimate Fishing Package," the award includes a 2006 Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine rigged on a Ranger boat with a tackle package valued at $1,000 retail from Stren. The package also comes equipped with a Minn Kota trolling motor, EverStart batteries and Lowrance electronics.

To participate, co-anglers who advance to the final round of each regular-season Stren Series event must wear an Evinrude/Stren shirt and cap on stage and be fishing with Stren line. The winner will be determined by Stren Series tournament standings, meaning the co-angler who earns the most points at season's end, regardless of division, will take home the package. Points may not be added from one division to another. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided based on the largest one-day catch. Only participants in the Stren Series may qualify for the award, which will be awarded at the Stren Series Championship. For complete rules and regulations, please visit FLWOutdoors.com.

Krista Heidgerken, lead tournament coordinator for Evinrude said, "Evinrude is proud to partner with Stren on this award. The Ultimate Fishing Package provides an opportunity for co-anglers to strive for a very lucrative prize package at the end of the season. It's a great opportunity for all co-anglers involved in the Stren Series."

Marketing Director for Stren Fishing Lines, Mark Freidman said, "At Stren, we are excited about our heavy involvement and association with FLW Outdoors and our sponsorship of the Stren Series. For over 50 years Stren has been a recognized leader in premium fishing lines by serious bass anglers." Freidman went on to state, "Our lines are known for their dependability and performance and we are proud to offer a $1,000 tackle award to our loyal Stren co-anglers."
