Established in 1996, BassResource.com is the oldest and largest independent bass fishing site in the world. We're a grass-roots organization led by founder Glenn May who wanted to create "The most comprehensive bass fishing site ever to exist." So he named BassResource.com "The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide" and launched the 100-page website in an era where most websites were only 1 or 2 pages deep. It caught the attention of bass anglers worldwide and immediately established itself worthy of the name; and has never looked back.
Now, at nearly 300,000 pages and growing, BassResource firmly holds the position of the world's largest and most authoritative bass fishing site.
Whether you’re here to learn more about fishing tackle, research a technique, improve your tournament performance, tap into one of our communities, or get some tips for catching that lunker of a lifetime, you’re in the right place. You’ll find an expert team of bass fishing professionals passionate about sharing their knowledge. We cut through the confusion with straightforward, expert-reviewed, person-first experiences designed to help you accelerate the learning curve and enjoy the most out of fishing.
Our mission is to enable bass anglers of all skill levels to become better at the sport by providing information about every facet of bass fishing. Whether it's about the latest tackle and techniques, how-to tutorials, industry news, or scientific research about bass biology and their environment, BassResource covers it all.
We also host the world's largest and most popular bass fishing forums, allowing you to connect with seasoned anglers worldwide, eager to help take your game to the next level.
BassResource has been featured on Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine, Lunkerville, Northwestern Outdoors Radio, and many magazines and books over the decades. We've even received the highest trust rating by Scam Advisor.
We hope you tap into all that BassResource offers — from our extensive article library and newsletters to our contests, videos, and communities.

POLICIES
Ad & Sponsorship Policy
BassResource receives funding from advertisements, sponsored content, and other partnerships, such as affiliate programs. The reality is that funding from our advertisers allows us to cover more topics and provide more robust content, including video, photographs, and input from a vast range of experts.
Be assured that we’re absolutely inflexible about our editorial autonomy. We never allow sponsors to influence the content we create or how we operate BassResource.
We have specific ad and sponsorship guidelines we follow to ensure that advertising never gets in the way of editorial integrity. BassResource chooses the partners, distinguishes all ads from editorial content, and clearly distinguishes between sponsored and non-sponsored content.
Most important of all, whenever feasible, our founder and CEO Glenn May personally tests out the products of each prospective advertiser before they're accepted to ensure their quality meets the standards our audience has come to expect from our recommendations and that the advertiser's products are a good match for our visitors. Not every advertiser is accepted, and Glenn has been known to turn away those that don't meet his high standards.
