Oceanside, California – September 9, 2014– Dateline The Netherlands…October 30-November 3, 2014. Can the North American contingent take the Hobie Fishing World Championship lV crown? Returning competitors Tom Michael and Justin Carter think so and hope to prove that experience counts.  While both anglers had a strong showing at the Australian Hobie Fishing World Championship lll, the prize of prizes eluded them both as the Aussies flexed their muscles on the final day and came away victorious.  Tom and Justin will be joined in the upcoming event by five newcomers, all hoping that this year’s outcome will be much different.  The fourth annual Championship, a.k.a. HFW4, is being hosted by Hobie Kayak Europe and presented by Rhino-Rack™ and Daiwa®.

The international field is daunting.  Over 50 competitors from over 14 countries from will be vying for the chance to win the coveted World Champion title.  Many competed to represent North America, including Canada, but the following seven made it to the top.
