Allen Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament on Cedar Creek

LOG CABIN, Texas. (April 10, 2006) Boater Mark Allen of Lindale, Texas, earned $3,505 Saturday as winner of the Bass Fishing League Cowboy Division bass fishing tournament on Cedar Creek Reservoir. The tournament was the third of five regular-season Cowboy Division events and earned Allen 200 points in the Boater Division.

   Allens winning catch of five bass weighed 22 pounds, 15 ounces. Allen also took Boater Division big-bass award honors, earning him an additional $440 for a 8-pound, 1-ounce bass.

   Rounding out the top five boaters are Victor Hawkins of Sugar Land, Texas (five bass, 20 pounds, 11 ounces, $1,753); Andy Coffman of Campbell, Texas (five bass ,16 pounds, 14 ounces, $1,169); Mathew Scogin of Conroe, Texas (five bass, 15 pounds, 15 ounces, $818) and Chris Nors of Austin, Texas (five bass, 14 pounds, 11 ounces, $701).

   . Craig Morris of Crosby, Texas, won the Co-angler Division to earn $1,753 as the co-angler winner, thanks to four bass weighing 11 pounds, 12 ounces.

   Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Kyle Marek of Goliad, Texas (three bass, 8 pounds, 11 ounces, $876); Alan Denson of Cookeville, Texas, (four bass, 8 pounds, 1 ounce, $585) Cory Campbell of Waxahachie, Texas (three bass, 7 pounds, 10 ounces, $409) and Paul Adams of Houston, Texas (one bass, 7 pounds, 9 ounces, $351).

   Adams earned an additional $220 as the co-angler big-bass award winner with a 7-pound, 9-ounce bass.

   The Cowboy Divisions next event will be held April 29 on Lake Palestine near Flint, Texas. The Cowboy Division will wrap up its regular season Sept. 30-Oct.-1 with a two-day Super Tournament on Sam Rayburn Reservoir near Jasper, Texas.
