MINNEAPOLIS (October 7, 2003) - FLW Outdoors and BFGoodrich Tires announced Tuesday the renewal of the tire brand's FLW Outdoors sponsorship. BFGoodrich Tires has been a sponsor of the world's leading marketer of competitive fishing for five years.
There are 55 million anglers in America today and the broad demographics of angling coupled with FLW Outdoors' continued growth - the 2004 FLW Tour purse is set at $6.8 million, an increase from $5.76 million in 2003 - creates an excellent avenue for sponsors to reach the loyal consumers associated with competitive fishing.
BFGoodrich Tires will expand its FLW Outdoors sponsorship in the 2004 season with a team of two professional anglers and one co-angler. BFGoodrich will be a visible sponsor of FLW Outdoors' tournaments, including the FLW Tour, the EverStart Series and the Fishing League.
