Hellman's Joins FLW Outdoors' 2003 Sponsorship Team

MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 19, 2002) - The maker of Hellmann's mayonnaise will "bring out the best" in professional fishing with its 2003 sponsorship of FLW Outdoors, the nation's leading marketer of professional fishing.

    "Hellmann's helps make meal preparation quick and easy, especially for active families," said Jai Bendre, director of marketing for Hellmann's mayonnaise. "New Hellmann's Dippin' Sauce adds exciting flavors to your favorite on-the-go foods, giving a rich, delicious taste your family will love. Since FLW Outdoors' tournaments are geared toward families, we felt this is the perfect path for us to reach out to these loyal consumers."

    As part of its partnership, Hellmann's will sponsor a professional angler who will ride in a NASCAR-like Ranger boat sporting the Hellmann's logo. Hellmann's will also be seen in the Family Fun Zone, which features interactive games and product displays for family members of all ages to enjoy. The Family Fun Zone will feature all three mouthwatering varieties of new Hellmann's Dippin' Sauce: Rockin' Ranch, Honey Mustard Madness and Totally BBQ. Hellmann's Dippin' Sauce is specially made for dipping and saucing your favorite foods. It has a thick, rich texture so it clings to food and a deliciously balanced taste making it perfect for dipping.

They include the $5.76 million Wal-Mart FLW Tour, the world's most lucrative bass-tournament series; the $3.88 million EverStart Series, the pathway to the FLW Tour; the $7 million Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League for weekend anglers; the $1 million Wal-Mart Texas Tournament Trail; and the $2.9 million Wal-Mart RCL Walleye Circuit, the world's most lucrative walleye-tournament series. As a sponsor, Hellmann's will also have the opportunity to use the "Proud Sponsor of FLW Outdoors" logo on its products.
