MINNEAPOLIS (April 7, 2004) - XTOOLS inked a deal with FLW Outdoors to become the official fishing-tool sponsor of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour through 2005. XTOOLS will reach its core audience of more than 52 million anglers by partnering with FLW Outdoors. The tool company was founded on the idea that it could bring anglers what they wanted: tools and equipment that float. XTOOLS offers advanced lightweight tools, including floating pliers, that are noncorrosive and can cut braided line.
Larry Rosenberry, vice president of sales and marketing for XTOOLS, said: "We developed XTOOLS with the angler in mind. Tools that float just make sense for anglers since they are in such close vicinity to the water when they use them. Our products are fairly new to the market, and FLW Outdoors is the perfect avenue for us to get our tools into the hands of America's anglers."
The XTOOLS logo will be seen on all six of FLW Outdoors' tournament trails, including the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, the EverStart Series, the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League, the Wal-Mart Texas Tournament Trail, the Wal-Mart RCL Walleye Tour and the Wal-Mart RCL Walleye League. The company will be featured in a variety of media formats maintained by FLW Outdoors. The company's brand names will be publicized through FLW Outdoors Magazine advertisements, prominence on the tour Web site, signage at tournaments, angler-award programs, and inclusion in tour promotional and public relations materials.
