SPIRIT LAKE, IOWA - Abu Garcia was simply called Abu fifty years ago. In 1952, the company built the first of what was to become the most popular and famous fishing reel ever created-the Ambassadeur. The factory was located on the shore of one of the world's premier salmon rivers, the Mörrum River.

These two names, Ambassadeur and Mörrum, became the names of Abu Garcia baitcast reels known for a lifetime of quality, dependability and durability. The red Ambassadeur 5000, one of the earliest free-spooling baitcast reels, has been matched with the SX Mörrum IVCB, one of today's highest quality premium baitcast reels, in a special commemorative package. Each commemorative set will feature matched and numbered Ambassadeur 5000 and SX Mörrum IVCB reels, presenting the first and most current of the best Abu Garcia has offered.

Only 500 of these elite two-reel collector sets will be made available in America. They will be packaged in a presentation wooden case designed and built for the occasion.

The suggested retail price of this piece of fishing heritage is $799.95.
