Fisheries staff have begun the process of developing the next Reservoir Black Bass Management Plan. To aid in this process, the Arkansas Fish & Game Commission created a Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) whose charge is to represent the values of all Arkansans with black bass fishing and management.
The SAC met for the first time last week to begin this process. AGFC selected 15 individuals to represent the diverse interests in black bass fishing in Arkansas. This was the first of four meetings that will occur from December to March.
Through this process, the SAC will identify the goals that will guide biologists on black bass management throughout the state for the next five years.
