AGFC staff recently added fish attractors to bank fishing locations at two lakes in west central Arkansas. Wells Lake, which is located adjacent to the Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Sebastian County, received 20 Christmas trees spread out among 10 sites. Lake Atkins, located in Pope County, received 28 Christmas trees spread out among 14 sites.
These trees should attract sportfish such as bream, crappie, and bass, making it easier for anglers to catch them. Coordinates for these sites will be posted to the AGFC Fish Attractors page soon. Trees for the project were donated by Lowes in Fort Smith and the Pulaski County Boys and Girls Club.
