How do the country's top bass pros headed for the Classic get ready for the big show? What does each do to get tackle ready? What are they thinking about? Find out these answers and more by following daily updates of seven anglers going to the 2009 Bassmaster Classic in Shreveport, La.

Representing Quantum in the quest for the 2009 title are two-time Classic champion Kevin VanDam, Randy Howell, Greg Hackney, Shaw Grigsby, Gary Klein, Mike McClelland and Dean Rojas. These Classic contenders will share their daily thoughts and activities leading up to the main event in Quantum's "Classic Diaries."

"These pros may not give away their secret fishing spots to the world, but they're very candid about how they've been preparing, what they're thinking and how they're feeling leading up to the big event," said John Kushnerick, Zebco Brands director of marketing services. "This will be the third consecutive year that we've provided this insider's view, and it has become a big hit with fishing fans."

One difference with this year's Classic Diaries is the "Ask a Pro" feature, which gives Quantum web site visitors the opportunity to submit their own questions to the pros: Do these guys believe in Friday the 13th superstitions? What kind of knot does Kevin VanDam use to tie on his lures? Does Greg Hackney feel like he has an advantage since the Classic is in his home state? What does Randy Howell consider a "breakfast of champions?" Almost any question is fair game, and the pros will answer many of the questions within their daily updates.
