COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 3, 2011) - The 2nd Annual Berkley Big Bass Lake Murray Challenge is set for October 22nd, 2011 at Billy Dreher Island State Park.
With an entry fee of only $75 anglers have the opportunity to win a portion of over $18,000 in cash and prizes awarded during the event. This format ensures a fun time for anglers of all skill levels to participate.
Field size has no bearing on whether or not the prizes will be awarded because all cash and prizes are to be paid regardless of field size. In previous years Berkley baits were only allowed, but Sebile baits are now included in the list of approved baits to be used in the tournament.
The $5,000 Grand Prize award will be awarded in a fun format for all participants and spectators.
“Every level of angler can enjoy this tournament,” said Andrew Marks, Marketing Director for Berkley. “The format is fun and strategy plays a vital role in determining each winner. With the addition of Sebile baits to the approved baits anglers now have a wider variety of options when selecting fishing techniques.”
The Berkley Experience trailer, a 60-foot event center, will be on site from Friday, October 21st at 2:00 PM until the final weigh-in and awards on Saturday.
The trailer features Interactive presentation screens, educational seminars on line selection, reel maintenance and selecting the right bait, a knot tying station and competition, bait demonstration tanks and many other fun elements designed to help the angers Catch More Fish. The Experience trailer will also have a good selection of Berkley and Sebile baits for sale, if anglers have not already stocked up for the tournament.
