FONTANA, Calif. - Nov. 25, 2002 - Kumho Tire U.S.A. has renewed its sponsorship of B.A.S.S. and will once again be the official tire of the BASSMASTER Tour and the BASSMASTERS Classic.
"2003 will mark Kumho's third consecutive year of sponsoring B.A.S.S.," noted Mike Leverington, director of marketing for Kumho Tire U.S.A. "Our relationship with B.A.S.S. has been very rewarding and has helped us raise the brand awareness of Kumho among outdoor sports enthusiasts. Our relationship with B.A.S.S. also opens the door for Kumho dealers to get involved with local B.A.S.S. chapters by participating in local tournaments and events."
In addition to signage at BASSMASTER Tour events and the BASSMASTERS Classic, the Kumho logo will adorn one of 12 boats (and an accompanying tow vehicle running on Kumho tires) used by finalists during the final two days of each pro tournament. "B.A.S.S. has adopted a new format for this year's tournaments, and we think it will generate even more excitement for the series and will give Kumho additional exposure," said Leverington.
"We are excited that Kumho Tire is continuing their sponsorship of B.A.S.S. and the BASSMASTER Tour," said B.A.S.S. general manager Dean Kessel. "We hope that both Kumho and our membership continue to benefit by further enhancing the Kumho brand, assuring maximum product exposure and brand recognition."
