Hill Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament on the Barren River

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 15, 2008) - Boater Tom Hill of Lexington, Ky., won the Bass Fishing League Mountain Division Super Bass Fishing Tournament on the Barren River with a two-day catch of 10 bass weighing 29 pounds, 5 ounces. The victory earned Hill $4,944.

   Rounding out the top five boaters are Jarrod Hembree of Berea, Ky. (10 bass, 22-01, $2,909); Don Stinson of Scottsville, Ky. (nine bass, 21-05, $1,939); Freddy Adkins of East Bernstadt, Ky. (10 bass, 21-03, $1,357) and John Daniel of Bowling Green, Ky. (seven bass, 19-08, $1,163).

   Jason Gibson of Byrdstown, Tenn., took home the Boater Division Snickers Big Bass award, earning $772 for a 5-pound, 10-ounce bass.

   Brian Ross of Berea, Ky., earned $2,909 as the co-angler winner thanks to 10 bass weighing 20 pounds, 5 ounces.

   Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Jerry Fritz of Richmond, Ky. (eight bass, 17-02, $1,454); Joseph Curlis of Hustonville, Ky. (seven bass, 15-15, $970); Brandon Wilson of Science Hill, Ky. (five bass, 15-04, $679) and Robert Hood of Somerset, Ky. (six bass, 12-03, $582).

   Dan Gillen of Lexington, Ky., earned $386 as the co-angler Big Bass winner after catching a 4-pound, 6-ounce bass.
