Tulgestka Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament on Burt Mullet

CHEBOYGAN, Mich. (June 3, 2013) – Erhardt Tulgestka, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 25 pounds, 14 ounces Saturday to win the Bass Fishing League Michigan Division tournament on Burt Mullet. For his victory, Tulgestka earned $3,386.

According to FLW reports Tulgestka was fishing on Mullet Lake with tubes to claim victory.

 

Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

            2nd       Ralph Blasey, Pinckney, Mich., five bass, 25-1, $1,693

            3rd:       Heath Wagner, Angola, Ind., five bass, 24-6, $1,129

            4th:       Chad Pipkens, Holt, Mich., five bass, 24-4, $790

            5th:       Scott Dobson, Oak Park, Mich., five bass, 24-0, $677 plus $300 Evinrude bonus

            6th:       Michael Elkins, Parchment, Mich., five bass, 23-12, $621

            7h:        Matt Belletini, Birmingham, Mich., five bass, 23-11, $564

            8th:       Justin Brown, Bear Lake, Mich., five bass, 23-5, $508

            9th:       Brian Jackson, Crete, Ill., five bass, 23-0, $451

            10th:     Joseph Brzuchowski, Belleville, Mich., five bass, 22-13, $395

Larry Riley of Newark, Ohio, weighed five bass totaling 20 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to win the Co-angler Division. Riley earned $1,693 for his victory.  Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

        3rd:       Chad Gittus, Mount Pleasant, Mich., five bass, 19-6, $564      

         4th:       Grant Shively, Westland, Mich., five bass, 18-10, $395

          5th:       Jason Kopczyk, Commerce Township, Mich., five bass, 18-3, $339

          6th:       Jon Witt, Kalamazoo, Mich., five bass, 17-6, $310

          7th:       Michael Condux, Plainfield, Ill., five bass, 17-3, $268

          7th:       Aric Stoner, Blenheim, Ontario, five bass, 17-3, $268

           9th:       David Michaelis, Commerce, Mich., five bass, 17-2, $226

          10th:     Mike Schoemann, Waterford, Mich., five bass, 16-12, $198

The next BFL Michigan Division tournament is scheduled for July 13 on the Detroit River in Trenton, Mich. After the last divisional tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 3-5 Regional Championship on Chesapeake Bay in North East, Md. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
