Sadler Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament On Lake Cumberland

MONTICELLO, Ky. (April 8, 2013) – Drew Sadler of Richmond, Ky., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 18 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the Bass Fishing League Mountain Division tournament on Lake Cumberland. For his victory, Sadler earned $4,720.

      Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

            2nd:   Shannon Devere, Berea, Ky., four bass, 11-8, $2,360

            3rd:   Joby Gossett, Nancy,Ky., three bass, 11-1,  $1,574

            4th:   Jonathan Henry, Grant, Ala., five bass, 10-8, $1,101

            5th:   Doyle Epperson, Nancy, Ky., four bass, 9-12, $944

            6th:   Freddy Adkins, East Bernstadt, Ky., three bass, 9-4, $865

            7th:   Michael Blanton, Richmond, Ky., three bass, 8-4, $787

            8th:   David Oliver, East Bernstadt, Ky., three bass, 7-14, $708

            9th:   Jonathan Green, East Bernstadt, Ky., three bass, 7-13, $629

            10th: Dwight Fox, Gainesboro, Tenn., five bass, 7-12, $551

      Doug Ramsey of Somerset, Ky., weighed in four bass totaling 10 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to win $2,005 in the co-angler division.  Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

            2nd:   Bob Coomer, Albany, Ky., three bass, 8-5, $983

            2nd:   Tim Emerton, Livingston, Tenn., two bass, 8-5, $983      

            4th:   Tommy Brewer, Hazard, Ky., two bass, 6-7, $551

            5th:   Jason Burden, Lexington, Ky., three bass, 5-2, $472

            6th:   Larry Anderson, Hillsboro, Ohio, one bass, 5-0, $433

            7th:   Troy Combs, Hazard, Ky., four bass, 4-14, $393

            8th:   Chad Nelson, Wayland, Ky., two bass, 4-9, $354

            9th:   John Lanz, Elizabethtown, Ky., one bass, 4-7, $315

            10th: Jeff Beekman, Piketon, Ohio, one bass, 4-4, $275

                                                     

      The next BFL Mountain Division tournament is scheduled for May 4 on Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Ky. After the last divisional tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 3–5 Regional Championship on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
