Guthrie Wins Bass Fishing League Event on DeGray Lake

WHAT : Ryan Guthrie of Paragould Ark., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 4 ounces using a Rat-L-Trap on Saturday, March 27, 2010 to win $4,350 in the FLW Bass Fishing League Arkie Division tournament on DeGray Lake. He was fishing secondary points under clear skies.

 7th: Matthew Mize, Ben Lomond, Ark., five bass, 14-4, $689

 9th: Tim Gartman, Conway, Ark., five bass, 13-7, $580

WHAT : Randy Peek of Maumelle, Ark., and Paul McCullough of Benton, Ark., each caught a 5-bass limit weighing 11 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday, March 27, 2010 to tie for the win and earn $1,588 in the FLW BFL Arkie Co-angler Division on DeGray Lake. Peek was using jerkbaits in the Arlie Moore area while McCullough fished the river also using jerkbaits.

 NOTES: The next BFL Arkie Division tournament is scheduled for May 15, at Greers Ferry in Greers Ferry, Ark. After the fifth Arkie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Ark., on Oct. 2-3, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
