Roberts Wins Bass Fishing League Event on Lake Eufaula

WHAT : Elmer Roberts of Claremore, Okla., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday, April 24, 2010 to win $4,244 in the FLW Bass Fishing League Okie Division tournament on Lake Eufaula. The cloudy, windy conditions helped Roberts bag his limit using spinnerbaits.

WHAT : Damon Duncan of Kansas, Okla., caught a 5--bass limit weighing 15 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday, April 24, 2010 to win $2,122 in the FLW BFL Okie Co-angler Division on Lake Eufaula. He and his partner were fishing near the dam in about 5-10 feet of water. He started the day with an Elk River Jig but it wasn't until he switched to a Baby Brush Hog that he got his kicker fish that helped him win the tournament.

NOTES: The next BFL Okie Division tournament is scheduled for May 8 at Fort Gibson Lake in Wagoner, Okla. After the fifth Okie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, on Oct. 14-16, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
