EUFAULA, Ala. (April 8, 2013) – Ryan Ingram of Phenix City, Ala., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 22 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday to win the Bass Fishing League Bama Division tournament on Lake Eufaula. For his victory, Ingram earned $6,119.
“I was throwing a white ¾-ounce Ledgebuster spinnerbait and a white and blue ¾-ounce Perfect Jig. Both of these are made by Strikezone Lures and they were the only two baits that I threw.
“I caught all my fish in windblown areas in around 8 to 12 feet of water,” said Ingram. “I believe that they key to my victory was that I was fishing a little bit deeper than the rest of the competition. I had the chance to have a much bigger bag, but a few of the fish just came off. I really didn’t know that I was going to win.”
