Rigsbee Wins Bass Fishing League Event on Lake Gaston

WHAT : Paul Rigsbee of Durham, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday to win $4,271 in the Bass Fishing League Piedmont Division tournament on Lake Gaston.

 6th: Bill McCall, Boydton, Va., five bass, 13-2, $783

 7th: Cavin Young, Prince George, Va., five bass, 12-12, $712

 9th: Mark Inman, Greensboro, N.C., five bass, 11-9, $569

WHAT : Donald Talbard of Ringgold, Va., caught a five-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to win $2,136 in the BFL Piedmont Co-angler Division on Lake Gaston.

NOTES: The next BFL Piedmont Division tournament is scheduled for April 17 at Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C. After the fifth Piedmont Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., Oct. 7-9 for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
