Burroughs Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament On Lake Hartwell

 LAVONIA, Ga. (Sept. 16, 2013) – Jason Burroughs of Hodges, S.C., weighed in a two-day total of 10 bass totaling 30 pounds, 5 ounces Sunday to win the Bass Fishing League South Carolina Division super tournament on Lake Hartwell. For his victory, Burroughs earned $6,489.

     Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

            2nd:   Wade Dodgens, Easley, S.C., 10 bass, 29-6, $2,095

            3rd:   Michael Anders, Pelzer, S.C., 10 bass, 27-7, $1,396 + $300 Evinrude Bonus

            4th:    Bradley Gunter, Greenwood, S.C., 10 bass, 22-15, $978

            5th:    Clint Hudson, Canton, N.C., 10 bass, 19-7, $838

            6th:    Greg Willimon, Pickens, S.C., eight bass, 17-2, $768

            7th:    Steve Wicker, Pomaria, S.C., eight bass, 17-2, $698

            8th:    Carl Smith, Lugoff, S.C., nine bass, 16-11, $628

            9th:    Ross Burns, Columbia, S.C., 10 bass, 16-5, $559

            10th: Michael Murphy, Lexington, S.C., eight bass, 15-6, $489

     Shane Cantley of Lugoff, S.C., weighed in a two-day total of 10 bass totaling 23 pounds, 14 ounces Sunday to win $2,095 in the co-angler division.

     Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

            3rd:   Scott Frye, Sumter, S.C., 10 bass, 16-15, $700

            4th:    Jamie Amerson, Savannah, Ga., nine bass, 15-6, $489

            5th:    Dan Treadaway, Rocky Mount, N.C., eight bass, 11-10, $419

            6th:    Bobby Wade, Gaffney, S.C., eight bass, 11-0, $384

            7th:    Earnest Jones, Blythewood, S.C., five bass, 9-2, $349

            8th:    Ron Figueroa, Appling, Ga., seven bass, 8-6, $314

            9th:    Bryan Barker, Seneca, S.C., six bass, 8-5, $279

            10th: Andrew Ray, Anderson, S.C., five bass, 7-9, $244

     The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
