Baldwin Wins Bass Fishing Tournament on Kerr Lake

WHAT : Chris Baldwin of Lexington, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win $6,541 in the FLW Bass Fishing League Piedmont Division tournament on Kerr Lake.

 3rd: Mike Hicks, Goochland, Va., five bass, 14-14, $1,514

 4th: Sammy Creech, Kenly, N.C., five bass, 14-12, $1,060

 5th: Mark Cooper, Collinsville, Va., five bass, 14-6, $908

 6th: Junior Allen, Biscoe, N.C., five bass, 14-5, $1,833

 7th: Paul Rigsbee, Durham, N.C., five bass, 14-2, $757

 8th: Cavin Young, Prince George, Va., five bass, 14-1, $681

WHAT : Jerry Cross of Southern Pines, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 12 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win $2,197 in the FLW BFL Piedmont Co-angler Division on Kerr Lake.

NOTES: The next BFL Piedmont Division tournament is scheduled for May 22 at High Rock Lake in Salisbury, N.C. After the fifth Piedmont Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., Oct. 7-9 for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
