GADSDEN, Ala. (July 2, 2012) – Wes Logan of Springville, Ala., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 15 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the Bass Fishing League Bama Division tournament on Lake Neely Henry. For his victory, Logan earned $3,632.
“I knew it was going to be a good day when I got a 3 ½-pounder on my third flip,” said Logan. “I was catching fish all day long and probably caught 20 to 30 fish. I was targeting shallow grass about 30 miles down from the locks.
“I was flipping home-made jigs,” Logan continued. “I was keying in on the edges of points, and it seemed like the dirtier the water the better.”
