SMYRNA, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2008) - Boater Scott Brummett of Brentwood, Tenn., won the Bass Fishing League Music City Division Super Bass Fishing Tournament on Percy Priest Lake with a two-day catch of 10 bass weighing 28 pounds, 2 ounces. The victory earned Brummett $3,375 plus a $1,985 Ranger contingency bonus.
Rounding out the top five boaters are David Gnewikow of Mount Juliet, Tenn. (seven bass, 18-11, $1,985); Brandon Eddings of La Vergne, Tenn. (six bass, 15-01, $1,324); Randy Vassar of Woodbury, Tenn. (five bass, 12-05, $927) and Chris Stites of Smyrna, Tenn. (six bass, 12-01, $794).
Gnewikow took home the Boater Division Snickers Big Bass award, earning $427 for a 5-pound, 3-ounce bass.
Winford Phipps of Tullahoma, Tenn., earned $1,986 as the co-angler winner thanks to nine bass weighing 21 pounds, 5 ounces.
Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Aaron Walters of Old Hickory, Tenn. (seven bass, 16-00, $993); Jason Larkin of White House, Tenn. (four bass, 9-13, $660); Mark Wojciechowski of Smyrna, Tenn. (two bass, 7-08, $463) and Jeff Cave of Hermitage, Tenn. (three bass, 6-11, $397).
Larkin earned $314 as the co-angler Big Bass winner after catching a 6-pound, 2-ounce bass.
