Pickett Jr. Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament On Pickwick Lake

IUKA, Miss. (Sept. 15, 2014) – Lloyd Pickett Jr. of Bartlett, Tenn., weighed a two-day total of 10 bass totaling 39 pounds, 6 ounces to win the Bass Fishing League Mississippi Division super tournament on Pickwick Lake Sunday. For his victory, Pickett earned $8,690.

According to tournament reports, Pickett fished a Carolina-rigged Zoom Trick Worm and a Zoom Brush Hog, targeting grass for his winning limits. He won by nearly seven pounds, and the win pushed his career earnings with FLW to more than $397,000.

Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

Mike Allen of Crystal Springs, Miss., weighed in a two-day total of eight bass totaling 17 pounds, 5 ounces to win $2,845 in the co-angler division Sunday. Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 16-18 Regional Championship on Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Jasper, Texas. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
