Dubroc Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament On Toledo Bend

MANY, La. (Feb. 25, 2013) – Charles Dubroc of Hessmer, La., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 24 pounds, 12 ounces Saturday to win the Bass Fishing League Cowboy Division tournament on Toledo Bend Reservoir. For his victory, Dubroc earned $6,163.

      Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

            2nd:   Shannon Wingate, Deridder, La., five bass, 18-10, $2,082

            3rd:   Jim Tutt, Longview, Texas, five bass, 18-5, $1,387 + Evinrude Bonus: $300

            4th:   Randy Deaver, Blanchard, La., five bass, 17-12, $971

            5th:   Christopher Barclay, Cypress, Texas, five bass, 17-9, $833

            6th:   Martin Mayo, Anacoco, La., five bass, 16-8, $763

            7th:   Jeremy Guidry, Opelousas, La., five bass, 15-11, $694 + Evinrude Bonus: $300

            8th:   Chris McCall, Brookeland, Texas, five bass, 15-9, $625

            9th:   James Dunn, Lecompte, La., five bass, 15-7, $520

            9th:   Brett Sellers, Denham Springs, La., five bass, 15-7, $520

      Doron Pardo of Monroe, La., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 15 pounds, 8 ounces Saturday to win $2,082 in the co-angler division.  Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

            2nd:   Michael Vestal, Carrollton, Texas, five bass, 14-11, $1,041

            3rd:   Kirk Williams, Stonewall, La., four bass, 13-6, $692        

            4th:   Eddie Lindley, Ulm, Ark., five bass, 13-3, $486

            5th:   Michael Cooley, Woodville, Texas, five bass, 12-10, $399

            5th:   Daniel Pierce, La Porte, Texas, four bass, 12-10, $399

            7th:   John Semken, Tyler, Texas, five bass, 12-5, $347

            8th:   John Tillman, Leesville, La., five bass, 12-3, $312

            9th:   Joe Marino, Bryan, Texas, five bass, 12-0, $278

            10th: Sammy Strong, Orange, Texas, five bass, 11-11, $243

      The next BFL Cowboy Division tournament is scheduled for March 23 on Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Jasper, Texas. After the final divisional tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 17-19 Regional Championship on Lake Texoma in Pottsboro, Texas. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
