Bishop Wins Bass Fishing League Event on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway

WHAT : Gene Bishop of Madison, Miss., caught three bass weighing 12 pounds, 14 ounces Saturday to win $3,879 in the Bass Fishing League Mississippi Division tournament on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.

WHAT : Keith Hester of Columbus, Miss., caught three bass weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday to win $1,940 in the BFL Mississippi Co-angler Division on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.

NOTES: The next BFL Mississippi Division tournament is scheduled for June 5 at Lake Ferguson in Greenville, Miss. After the fifth Mississippi Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., Oct. 7-9 for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
