Carter Wins Bass Fishing League Tournament On West Point Lake

VALLEY, Ala. (Oct. 1, 2012) – Kip Carter of Loganville, Ga., weighed a two-day total of 10 bass totaling 23 pounds,11 ounces to win the Bass Fishing League Bulldog Division super bass fishing tournament on West Point Lake in Valley, Ala., on  Sunday. For his victory, Carter earned $5,126.

     

     Rounding out the top 10 pros were:

          2nd:   Bobby Padgett, LaGrange, Ga., 10 bass, 22-0, $2,563 + $1,000 Evinrude Bonus.

          3rd:   Danny Kirk, Bartow, Ga., 10 bass, 21-14, $1,709.

          4th:    Ryan Horton, Palmetto, Ga., 10 bass, 18-4, $1,196.

          5th:    Michael Conley, Bainbridge, Ga., 10 bass, 17-13, $1,025.

          6th:    Jason Grantham, Jonesboro, Ga., 10 bass, 17-7, $940.

          7th:    Rob Jordan, Suwanee, Ga., 10 bass, 17-7, $854.

          8th:    Marvin Horton, Palmetto, Ga., 10 bass, 17-7, $769.

          9th:    Robert Burdekin, Fayetteville, Ga., 10 bass, 17-3, $683.

          10th: Brian Jamison, Greensboro, Ga., six bass, 16-8, $598.

 

     Mark Hebert of Lineville, Ala., weighed in 10 bass totaling 17 pounds, 1 ounce Sunday to win $2,563 in the co-angler division.

     Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers were:

          2nd:   Brian Bell, Good Hope, Ga., nine bass, 16-14, $1,281.

          3rd:   Eric Fisher, Kennesaw, Ga., 10 bass, 16-13, $853.

          4th:    Tim Greene, Grayson, Ga., 10 bass, 16-9, $598.

          5th:    Trinity Mealor, Newnan, Ga., 10 bass, 16-5, $513.

          6th:    Mic Miller, Buena Vista, Ga., 10 bass, 15-11, $470.

          7th:    Jared Kutil, Atlanta, Ga., eight bass, 15-8, $427.

          8th:    Daniel Buswell, Newnan, Ga., nine bass, 14-5, $384.

          9th:    Bret Barillari, Duluth, Ga., 10 bass, 14-5, $342.

          10th: Billy Cain, Jackson, Ga., nine bass, 13-12, $299.

     The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 18-20 Regional Championship on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
