San Antonio, Texas (January 13, 2015)--
Today, collegiate anglers will be able to register for the first Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Series event of the 2015 season - the Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash.
The Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Series will kick off the 2015 season with one of the most diverse fishing tournaments in college fishing. The Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash offers every competitor the chance to win at eight total weigh-ins. The tournament will consist of a two-day, individual big bass format with weigh-in sessions every two hours of each competition day.
"This is one of the most fun events of the season to be a part of," said the Tournament Director and President of CarecoTV, Wade Middleton. "The amount of prizes that are awarded at this event really make it worth competing for every angler on the water."
Prizes will be awarded for the ten (10) heaviest bass weighed during each session along with a daily prize for the overall heaviest bass weighed each tournament fishing day AND an additional prize will be awarded for the overall heaviest bass of the event.

The 2015 Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Series consists of four nationally televised tournaments, including the Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash, which are scheduled for the following dates:
- March 13-15, 2015 - Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash - Kentucky Lake
- April 17-19, 2015 - Collegiate Bass Fishing Open - Lake Chickamauga
- April 25-26, 2015 - Collegiate Bass Texas Shootout - Lake Texoma
- May 18-22, 2015 - BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship - Pickwick Lake
