SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 12, 2020) - Out of respect for the current and quickly evolving COVID-19 public health threat, the 2020 Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley will be cancelled and rescheduled to another time yet to be determined.

"This decision is based on the COVID-19 public health threat and the recent decisions by many major sporting groups to cancel their events.  This includes the fact the NCAA has canceled all men's and women's sports events for the rest of the winter and spring season.   As always, safety is of the utmost concern to our staff and sponsors, and that won't ever change.  We look forward to seeing everyone on the water again soon,"  Wade Middleton, Director of Association of Collegiate Anglers.

At this time, the 2020 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops is still set to be held at its scheduled date.  All colleges nationwide will be allowed to compete in the year-end event with any team ranked in the Top 25 according to the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia standings being allowed to send four teams.  All schools with accredited programs will now be allowed to send three teams.  For more clarification to those rules contact college@carecotv.com.
