Bombardier Recreational Products Launches New Brand

6/15/04 - ST-BRUNO, Quebec - In a move it says will help ensure success in the global marketplace, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. has launched its new brand and signature, and will now simply be known as BRP, the company said in a press release this morning.

   "We have a unique opportunity to start anew without having to start over, and we are determined to use it to lay claim to every playing field - snow, water, off-road, on-road, or in the air," said Jose Boisjoli, BRP president and CEO. "We are seizing the exceptional opportunity of our new company to create a distinct brand personality that reflects our vision and our ambition to be more accessible, customer-oriented, youthful and global.

   BRP - makers of Sea-Doo watercraft and sport boats, Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines, direct injection technologies such as Evinrude E-TEC, Bombardier all-terrain vehicles, Rotax engines and karts, as well as BRP industrial vehicles - has $2.5 billion in sales worldwide, with over 7,000 employees and manufacturing facilities on four continents.
