FORT SMITH, Ark. – BOOYAH has signed B.A.S.S. Elite Pro Gerald Swindle to its pro staff. Swindle, a 44-year-old pro from Warrior, Ala., brings 18 years of professional bass angling experience to the BOOYAH team. He’s won nearly $2 million on the pro tours, qualified for the Bassmaster Classic 14 times, and the FLW Championship four times. He won the B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year title in 2004.

Swindle joins an esteemed BOOYAH pro staff that includes Terry “Big Show” Scroggins and FLW Pro David Dudley. Swindle will fish Booyah wire baits and hard baits (spinnerbaits, jigs, topwaters, and crankbaits).

Swindle says his specialty is skipping docks and junk fishing, two skills that fit perfectly with the BOOYAH brand. His proximity to Lake Guntersville’s matted grassbeds means he’s quick to jump on a hollow-body frog bite. He’s been a fan of the BOOYAH Pad Crasher since Terry Scroggins tossed him one after the bait was introduced.

“One of the biggest reasons I signed with BOOYAH is to have the opportunity come in and be a part of building a brand from the inside-out and being proud of it,” Swindle said. “You’ve got a great pro staff around you and people who are building the best line of baits for tournament fishing. I wanted a long-term relationship where I have input into the baits that I make a living with.”

Swindle’s quick wit and charm makes him one of the most-popular anglers on the professional bass fishing circuit. Known as “The G-Man,” Swindle’s big break came at Arkansas’ Beaver Lake, where he won his first FLW tournament by throwing a spinnerbait. In addition to tournament fishing, Swindle also co-hosts Moultrie’s The Hit List, a popular hunting program on that airs on The Outdoor Channel. Swindle will also be endorsing Moultrie game cameras and feeders, Summit Treestands, Code Blue scents and attractants, and Knight & Hale game calls. Those hunting brands, and BOOYAH fishing baits, are all part of PRADCO Outdoor Brands.

“Gerald adds excitement to every event,” said BOOYAH general manager Bruce Stanton. “He’s fished BOOYAH lures for years and it’s good to have him officially on our team. Thanks go to executive marketing director Chris Gulstad and vice president of marketing John Skrabo for a great job of reeling him in and putting him in the BOOYAH livewell.”

Gulstad added, “Bass anglers know that fishing with BOOYAH means fishing with top-quality lures that give them the edge…Gerald’s abilities, manner and fan base make him a perfect fit to represent the BOOYAH attitude, and we’re excited to have him in the family.”
