October 26, 2012… Dave Csanda has made it his life’s work to educate others about fishing as a journalist, book author, radio personality, seminar speaker and fishing television co-host. To recognize Csanda for his accomplishments, the Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota has made him a 2011-2012 Hall of Fame member.
Among his achievements, Csanda spent 28 years as the editor of In-Fisherman publications and co-host of In-Fisherman television. He now works at Lindner Media Productions as a writer, producer and field editor for FLW Outdoors Magazine. Csanda is also very active on the seminar circuit and in “Let’s Go Fishing,” a non-profit organization that takes seniors, youth and veterans fishing for free.
An official Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in early 2013, with details available soon. Additional 2011-2012 inductees include Dan Sura, James Lindner, Jeff Arnold and corporate members Rapala and Outdoor News. All Hall of Famers will be featured on the organization’s new website (www.FishingHallOfFameMN.com). They will also be honored in a traveling Hall of Fame that’s in development and will visit sport shows, fairs, schools and other venues where the organization can help promote Minnesota fishing.
The Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota conducts nominations, elections and inductions annually. To qualify for nomination, a candidate must be over 50 years of age, a resident of Minnesota for at least 25 years, and must receive the recommendation of a current Hall of Fame member. The organization is committed to supporting, preserving and recognizing the state’s fishing community, promoting a continued appreciation of the sport and its rich heritage.
