DEMOPOLIS, Ala. – Keith Poche, a BASS Elite Series angler and qualifier for the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, has joined Duckett Fishing's 2012 professional staff, company owner and CEO Boyd Duckett announced today.
Poche, of Pike Road, Alabama, is the latest accomplished pro angler to join the staff of Duckett Fishing, a company that began rod manufacturing and sales early in 2010. Poche joins Elite Series anglers Kelly Jordon, Terry Scroggins, Tim Horton, Byron Velvick, Jason Quinn, Jason Williamson and Pete Ponds on the Duckett Fishing team, along with 2007 Classic champion and company owner Duckett.
“Keith is a terrific young angler and quality person, and we’re pleased that he will be joining the Duckett Fishing pro staff,” Duckett said. “It was gratifying to know that Keith has been using our rods, and folks who followed the Elite Series this year know that he had a heck of a year.”
Poche had two top ten finishes during the 2011 season. In is 43 high-level BASS starts, Poche has four top ten and nine top 20 finishes.
Poche praised both Duckett Fishing’s rods and its team of anglers.
“I’ve been fishing fishing with Duckett rods for a while now. They’re good for smashing, they’re good for finesse. The rods are just great all-around. To tell you the truth, it’s just an awesome stick,” Poche said.
“And it’s a really good feeling to join a group of anglers like the guys that Boyd’s put together. It’s a great team, and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Duckett, a highly successful businessman, announced the formation of Duckett Fishing in November 2009. The company began its manufacturing operation early the following year. The company’s signature product is a white, lightweight rod known as MICROMagic that utilizes microguide technology.
