Sturtevant, Wis., February 23, 2017– BRP announced today that its Evinrude brand has re-joined the Texas Team Trail Tournament (TXTT) as official sponsor for the 2017 season. The announcement comes as the TXTT prepares to kick-off the season this weekend on Sam Rayburn.

As part of the agreement, Evinrude will continue to reward anglers who power their boats with an Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine. A winning Evinrude angler at any one of the four regular-season events will receive an engine upgrade from the standard 150 HP option to a 225 HP model. Additional payouts extend through 50th place, with second through 30th receiving a $250 cash bonus and 31st through 50th receiving $125.

“Evinrude has been with us from the very beginning and is one of the reasons we are known for big payouts,” said TXTT Tournament Director Mike Hastings. “Many of our tournament anglers run an Evinrude and can take advantage of the company’s generous contingency program to earn more cash.”

“The Texas Team Trail program has been a long-standing partner in our overall tournament strategy,” said Olivier Pierini, Evinrude director of global marketing and strategic planning. “We are excited to join together again in 2017 and gain an even larger following of our new E-TEC G2 engines. Pros that use our engines have said over and over again that the E-TEC G2 gives them the confidence to get out in front of the crowd and try spots that others wouldn’t dare. We look forward to helping even more anglers have a great 2017 season.”

The Texas Team Trail consists of four regular-season events and a year-end championship. The championship is a two-day tournament open to teams who have fished all four regular-season events. The Texas Team Trail also includes television and media coverage, airing on the Pursuit Channel, Fox Sports Net, NBC Sports, Time Warner Sportsnet and the World Fishing Network.

Registration for the 2017 season is underway. Anglers with questions or anyone interested in more details are encouraged to visit www.texasteamtrail.com or call 210-788-4143.
