STURTEVANT, Wis. - November 3, 2004 - Roch Lambert, now vice president and general manager of Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines, yesterday addressed the industry directly for the first time since reassuming the leadership of Bombardier Recreational Products' outboard business.
In an edition of "The Real Deal" newsletter, he explained his new role, which encompasses product engineering, marketing, sales, service and distribution for the North American market.
Lambert also detailed what he called "minor organizational changes" to the outboard team. Under the reorganization, Bob Young will serve as vice president of product development, while Tony Koblinski adds to his position of vice president of operations by assuming responsibility for PAC and after sales & service.
Keith Yunger now serves as director of OEM sales, in addition to heading up SPPG, according to Lambert. Jeff Brunson will serve as director of dealer sales in the U.S., while Wayne Lazure will serve in the same capacity in the Canadian market.
Michel Benoit serves as director of marketing, Jeff Leake takes on a position as director of sales administration, and Julie Johnson becomes manager of shows, events and public relations.
Lambert also confirmed that the positions of vice president of sales, formerly held by Ben LaFortune, and director of public relations & competition, held by Dave Thompson, have been eliminated.
Meanwhile, BRP continues to roll-out its "overall go to market strategy for outboards and specifically the increased focus on E-TEC," according to Lambert.
