TORONTO, September 29, 2005 - Milton, Ontario based FisherGirl Inc. (www.fishergirl.com) has announced that their founder Terri MacKinnon, "the original FisherGirl", is competing and fishing as a non-boater in BASS Women's Bass Tour's (WBT) inaugural event on October 20-22 at Lewisville Lake, Texas.

"Women's fishing is at the same place today as the LPGA was before it became huge." says MacKinnon, "We'll be making history at this kick off event and I'm thrilled to be a part of it." Just like FisherGirl, the Women's Bass Tour is out to change the face of the sport fishing world by injecting some "girl power" into it.

Created by women, for women, FisherGirl is a women's outdoor lifestyle company whose mission it is to introduce women and girls to the joys and benefits of healthy living and the outdoors through fishing. Since its official launch in spring 2005, FisherGirl has been capturing the hearts and minds of industry insiders as well as women everywhere. Testimony to this is FisherGirl's recent win of the American Sportfishing Association's (ASA) New Product Showcase award - Best New Product in the Rod/Reel Combo category for its Mermaid line.

With fishing rods and outdoor gear in pink, purple, and blue, the look is about women's creative expression. The perfect marriage of beauty and function, FisherGirl's rods are also specifically designed to be ergonomically correct for women. But it doesn't end there. The other part of FisherGirl's mission is to see a world without breast cancer. Partnering with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation that passion is taking flight with Cast for a Cure which donates 50% of the sales proceeds from FisherGirl's special edition Survival Rod line to breast cancer research. Terri's upcoming schedule also includes participating in the 2005 Bass Pro/CrappieMasters National Championship on Old Hickory Lake, Hendersonville, TN October 12-15, 2005.
