2009 Bass Fishing League Entry Dates Set

BENTON, Ky. (Nov. 25, 2008) - FLW Outdoors has announced entry dates for the 2009 Bass Fishing League, a weekend bass-fishing circuit featuring more than $9 million in prize money distributed through 28 geographic divisions.

 Each division features four one-day qualifiers that offer top boater awards of $8,000 and top co-angler awards of $3,000, plus a two-day super tournament offering top awards of $11,000 and $4,500, respectively. Anglers finishing the season in the top 40 in each division advance to one of seven no-entry-fee regional championships to fish for a Ranger 198VX powered by Evinrude or Yamaha and a Chevy Silverado 1500 as a boater and a Ranger 198VX powered by Evinrude or Yamaha as a co-angler. The top six boaters and co-anglers from each regional also advance to the BFL All-American for the chance to win top awards of $140,000 and $70,000, respectively. Additionally, the All-American champions advance to the $2.5 million Forrest Wood Cup for a shot at winning $1 million and $100,000, respectively.

 Entry fees are $200 per qualifier for boaters and $100 per qualifier for co-anglers. Super tournament entry fees are $300 per event for boaters and $150 per event for co-anglers. Entries will be taken by division according to the following schedule: Dec. 9, 2008 - Bama, Cowboy, Dixie, Everglades, Gator, Savannah River and South Carolina. Dec. 10, 2008 - Arkie, Bulldog, Choo Choo, Louisiana/Texas, Mountain, Music City and North Carolina. Dec. 11, 2008 - LBL, Mississippi, Okie, Ozark, Piedmont, Shenandoah and Volunteer. Dec. 12, 2008 - Buckeye, Empire, Great Lakes, Hoosier, Illini, Michigan and Northeast
