HENDERSON, Nev. (Mar. 4, 2019) – The Boulder City High School duo of Izec Easter and Corey Williams, both of Boulder City, Nevada, brought three bass to the scale Sunday weighing 5 pounds, 8 ounces to win the 2019 FLW High School Fishing tournament on Lake Mead.
Five high-school teams competed in the no-entry fee tournament, which launched from Callville Bay Resort & Marina in Overton. The tournament was hosted by the City of Henderson Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism. In FLW and TBF High School Fishing competition, the top 10-percent of teams competing advance to the High School Fishing National Championship.
The top team on Lake Mead that advanced to the 2019 High School Fishing National Championship was:
1st: Boulder City High School, Boulder City, Nev. – of Izec Easter and Corey Williams, both of Boulder City, Nev., three bass, 5-8
Rounding out the top three were:
2nd: Paradise Valley High School, Phoenix, Ariz. – Isaiah Rios, Phoenix Ariz., and Nicklaus Romero, Prescott, Ariz., one bass, 2-11
3rd: Lake Havasu High School, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. – Logan Vetter and Zachary Verbrugge, both of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., one bass, 1-11
