Zebco Signs Sponsorship Deal with FLW Outdoors

MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 25, 2011) – Zebco recently announced it has landed a partnership with FLW Outdoors as a sponsor for the 2011 season.

   “The name Zebco invokes images of fishing, as everyone remembers their first time fishing, and the chances are they made their first cast with a Zebco,” said Trisha Blake, president, FLW Outdoors Marketing Division. “We are excited to have them as a partner and look forward to building a relationship that will be beneficial to both parties.”

    A highlight of the sponsorship will be the Zebco Trout Pond, serving as a vital component of retailtainment in Walmart parking lots throughout the country and as an attraction at the traveling FLW Outdoors Expo as well as numerous tournaments and related events. The Zebco Trout Pond will offer America’s youth the opportunity to catch their first fish using Zebco products.

   Along with the trout pond, Zebco products will be distributed as giveaway items surrounding select events on the Walmart FLW Tour. Zebco will also have space at the Expo to showcase its product lines to the tens of thousands of fishing fans that visit FLW Outdoors events.

   "Whether it's being part of a child's first catch at the Zebco Trout Pond this spring, or the chance to visit face-to-face with an angler who caught their first fish with a Zebco reel as a kid in the 1950s, our partnership and presence at the FLW Outdoors events creates a special opportunity for interaction with valued consumers," said Jeff Pontius, President of ZEBCO brands.

   Zebco will be featured in a variety of media formats through FLW Outdoors and will also support FLW Fantasy Fishing. Zebco will also have the opportunity to set up displays promoting its goods while providing promotional products and offers to fans at the FLW Outdoors Expo, surrounding the FLW Tour and championship events, and the College Fishing Festivals, held in conjunction with National Guard FLW College Fishing.
