Moves Production to Sarasota Facility
MINNEAPOLIS, MN - November 7, 2002 - Genmar Holdings, Inc. (Genmar), announced today the addition of an 18th brand, acquiring the Fish Hawk fishing boat line from Bombardier Recreational Products (Bombardier). Genmar will move production of the line to its Sarasota, Fla., facility, the current home of Wellcraft, Aquasport and Hydra-Sports.
Bombardier manufactured the brand at its Benton, Ill., facility, and has announced its plan to fulfill warranty and service obligations to dealers and consumers on Fish Hawk boats it manufactured.
"The addition of the Fish Hawk brand gives Genmar another quality product. It is our intention to build on the Fish Hawk tradition while continuing to give consumers more customer value than ever before," said Genmar Chairman Irwin Jacobs. "We will be sending announcements to Fish Hawk dealers shortly outlining our plans and welcoming them to the Genmar family."
