Oceanside, California – January 18, 2016- Who said Top Gun is only about Navy Strike Fighter Pilots? In 2015, Hobie® introduced their first Top Guns: a fiercely driven group of kayak anglers chosen from the company’s Fishing Team. For 2016, a new slate of Top Guns will build on the legacy of the company’s original fishing aces. The purpose of this elite group is to educate and share information about fishing from their Hobie kayaks, whether it involves strategy, a bit of good luck or simply passion.
To support and enhance the popularity of fishing out of Hobie kayaks, the Top Guns are tasked to share the kayak fishing techniques and tactics that have won them titles and admiration. The content they produce will be a combination of video, photos and web stories. This 2016 class of Top Guns was selected from across the United States based on their tournament performance, trophy catches, and enthusiasm for sharing the Hobie Way of Life with their respective Hobie retail partners and communities.
Kayak anglers are invited to get acquainted with this second wave of Top Guns by logging onto HobieFishing.com, follow the “Community” tab and selecting a Top Gun on the Hobie Fishing Team page. New articles or video will be posted regularly covering tackle tips, particular species, getting the most out of rigging, “fish stories” and much more.
