CHARLESTON, SC (May 26, 2021) — B.A.S.S announced that Huk, the industry leader in performance fishing apparel, has been named the presenting sponsor for the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic. This premier opportunity, showcasing the country's top anglers and their fans at the Classic, will once again feature Huk as the brand of choice for exceptional functional and technical clothing to anglers of all ages.
The Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic Presented by Huk will be held June 11-13, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. This is just the third time in more than 50 years of the Classic that it has been in Texas, one of the country’s best states for fishing. It also is the first time for a major B.A.S.S. tournament to be held on Lake Ray Roberts. The 29,350-acre lake is known for big bass. The qualifying anglers will compete for three days on Lake Ray Roberts for the oldest and most prestigious championship in professional bass fishing.
“Marolina Outdoor is thrilled with our partnership with B.A.S.S,” said Pete Angle, CMO of Marolina Outdoor Inc. “We are happy that B.A.S.S was able to reschedule the event and they could have not picked a better host city and fishing location. We look forward to continuing our partnered efforts like new angler recruitment and access to outdoor recreational opportunities.”
As the Presenting Sponsor of the championship, fans will be able to preview all of Huk's high-quality, performance fishing apparel. With features such as superior breathability, sun protection, cooling fibers, and quick-drying fabrics, Huk's clothing is engineered and designed to excel in the harshest conditions on the water, but fashionable enough to wear around town. Attendees will love the look and feel of the new Waypoint, Tide Point, Capers Volley, and Kona Collections as well as fan favorites like the Next Level shorts, Icon X collection, and Pursuit lines.
“Huk is an outstanding partner for B.A.S.S., and we are thrilled for their continued support and that they are serving as the presenting sponsor of the 51st Bassmaster Classic,” said Chase Anderson, Chairman of B.A.S.S. “We can’t wait to have a historic first when fishing’s biggest stage comes to Fort Worth. With B.A.S.S. and Huk working together, our fans and anglers are sure to be in for an incredible experience.”
Downtown Fort Worth will be on full display for the Classic, hosted by the Fort Worth Sports Commission and Visit Fort Worth.
